Nuance and Huawei Create Swype Keyboard for Huawei Emotion UI Devices

Unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2014, Swype for Huawei Gives Consumers Incredibly Unique and Powerful Touch Input Experience in More than 70 Languages

BURLINGTON, Mass. and BARCELONA (Mobile World Congress) – February 26, 2014 – Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced the availability of a customized Swype keyboard integrated with Huawei’s flagship Emotion UI device lineup. Available globally, Huawei’s exclusive Swype keyboard experience lets people trace, tap, and write in over 70 languages.

Swype for Huawei was designed with input from Huawei’s Emotion UI experience team to provide Huawei consumers with the fastest and most accurate text input available. Further, Swype for Huawei has a specially designed one-handed input that makes tracing and tapping a breeze with just your thumb. Swype for Huawei’s keyboard even includes an exclusive layout optimized for the Chinese language.

Swype for Huawei brings together the best of both worlds – an optimized experience for Emotion UI and many of the opt-in Swype features that make it the most successful predictive continuous touch keyboard – such as Swype’s connected Living Language, an opt-in based end-user service, that updates top trending words and phrases through global crowd-sourcing. Consumers also have the option to personalize dictionaries and language models directly from Nuance that follow users from device to device with the ability to download more than 70 different languages and dialects—made possible by Nuance Cloud Services.
